United for Housing
Creating supports to help British Columbians find housing.
Housing is a basic human right and is essential for human well-being because it provides more than just shelter—it’s a foundation for physical, emotional, social, and economic stability.
Without housing, people struggle to get the help they need as a fixed address is often required to access healthcare, education, banking, and government services. Ensuring British Columbians have the shelter they need is essential for healthy individuals and communities.
United Way BC Housing Initiative brings together housing providers, social service agencies, local and provincial governments, and people with lived experience to create systems of support that help people find and keep a home.
