Doane Grant Thornton is Committed to Community

In the communities of Kamloops, Kelowna, Trail, Salmon Arm, and Nelson, United Way BC helped connect teams from Doane Grant Thornton LLP with local organizations for a day of volunteering, giving them an opportunity to help our communities thrive.

One look at the Grant Thornton Foundation Impact Report, and it’s clear, their communities matter. “We believe that giving back to our communities through active involvement, building authentic connections, and providing financial support is fundamental to our greater purpose.”

In Kamloops, while one group supported Kamloops Food Policy Council with work in the Butler Urban Farm, the other helped A Way Home Kamloops with a lot of elbow grease, providing housecleaning and yard work. In Nelson, a team worked hard to help clean the kitchen and dining room at Our Daily Bread Nelson, B.C. In Kelowna, the Okanagan Fruit Tree Project got the help they needed, with a team working to prepare the beds for winter, helping them prepare for next year’s crop.

And in Trail, a team spent time at Sanctuary Pre-Teen Centre with the focus on decluttering.

With collaboration from United Way BC, we were able to help coordinate this special day, supporting the communities we call home. We are so grateful to all of the Grant Thornton colleagues who showed they cared, in the ways that matter most.
