Government Partnerships
Partnerships are at the heart of all of United Way BC’s resilient, responsive and effective supports for our province’s citizens and communities. Donors as well as hundreds of non-profits and volunteers join us in our passionate work to improve lives.

Provincial Partnerships.
Our strong and growing partnership with the Provincial government helps amplify the commitments of our donors, volunteers, and community-based agencies. Together we are delivering essential supports to seniors, providing more access to food and responding to emergencies. We are grateful for this partnership that also ensures citizens have access to information through BC211, provides volunteer opportunities within communities, and helps us work toward eliminating period poverty.
Federal Government Supports.
The Federal government Reaching Home funding helps our most vulnerable community members – those facing homelessness. United Way British Columbia is proud to be taking part in the Community Services Recovery Fund, a collaboration between United Way Centraide Canada, Canadian Red Cross, and Community Foundations of Canada to provide funding to Community Service Organizations, including non-profit organizations, Indigenous Governing Bodies, and Registered Charities located across Canada.
Municipal and Regional Government Involvement
Tapping into the local knowledge and resources in municipalities drives community-based programming.
