Flood Response Fund
Bringing together the power of many to help those affected by BC Floods.

With hundreds of British Columbians on evacuation orders and alerts, United Way BC is working with impacted communities to address gaps and needs.
A variety of programs and essential supports are critical as BC residents respond and recover physically and emotionally from the devastation of floods throughout our province. The United for BC Flood Response Fund plays an important role in helping affected communities in the aftermath of these floods. Funds go towards addressing immediate needs and long term recovery supports.

Frequently Asked Questions
Our United for BC Flood Response Fund supports our work during times of crisis throughout our regions with immediate and ongoing relief efforts, long term recovery, and resiliency.
In 2021, United Way BC supported those impacted by flooding with immediate needs but, just as importantly, long-term recovery and resilience building. Our Regional Community Food Hubs and Hi Neighbour programs will continue to support the needs of the community, especially during a crisis.
United Way is in a unique position as we have connections within all affected areas through our community partners and positions on collaborative tables throughout the region. With an “ear to the ground” we are able to nimbly respond to the needs as they arise from our funded partners and communities we serve.
Understanding and experience from the 2021 Floods leads us to expect needs to include:
- Food Security
- Mental Health supports
- Community Social building
- Clean-up Kits
As we continue conversations with agencies, community leaders, and governments, we will provide assistance and aid where needed.
We know British Columbians want to be there for their neighbours, especially right now. Support our efforts through our United for BC Flood Response Fund is one way to do so. You can donate by selecting the button above.
