Impact Stories

This is what local love looks like…

Many of our 2020 Campaign Cabinet – 39 in all – from a variety of organizations across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, experienced COVID-related disruptions in their own organizations, yet were still able to spare their time and talent to support us and our community in a time of great need.

Every year, we rely on hundreds of partners, donors, and volunteers to help us help our neighbours in need. In 2020, a year like no other, many stepped up to the plate and helped us innovate on the fly. Together we responded to the challenges facing our community’s most vulnerable members, bravely navigated the virtual world, and explored creative new ways to inspire and engage our donors. Among our amazing champions are a group of highly dedicated business, labour and community leaders – our United Way Campaign Cabinet. We couldn’t have accomplished nearly as much in 2020 without their untiring support.

Many of our 2020 Campaign Cabinet – 39 in all – from a variety of organizations across the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley, experienced COVID-related disruptions in their own organizations. Most were involved in their own business continuity planning efforts and yet, were still able to spare their time and talent to support us and our community in a time of great need. Their generosity, humanity and compassion is unparalleled.

“Our Campaign Cabinet helps us raise millions of dollars every year and 2020, despite being an extraordinary year, was no exception in this regard at all. It has been incredibly heartwarming to see our community come together to help strengthen vital connections right here at home. I am tremendously grateful for the support and dedication of this group of talented community leaders.” – Michael McKnight, President & CEO, United Way of the Lower Mainland

Our 2020 fundraising success is in large part thanks to the vision, leadership, and skills of this tremendously talented and supportive group of individuals. We thank each and everyone for their contributions to our achievements in what has been one of the most challenging years we’ve ever experienced.

Thank you to our 2020 Campaign Cabinet!
