Future Leaders

Empowering young people for the jobs of tomorrow by providing practical work experience and the skills necessary for future employment.

United Way’s Future Leaders program empowers young people ages 15-30 for the jobs of tomorrow.

We provide practical work experience and the skills necessary for future employment through paid or volunteer internships, often with United Way School’s Out programs.

Youth grow leadership skills, develop social networks and gain a deep sense of accomplishment – the building blocks of increased confidence to help them create their own path to success as adults.

Though universally accessible, Future Leaders works mainly with newcomer and Indigenous youth and youth with disabilities.
