United Way British Columbia (“Sponsor”), 4543 Canada Way, Burnaby, BC V5G 4T4.  

1. Eligibility 
   Open to legal residents of British Columbia who are 19 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees, officers, directors, contractors, and agents of the Sponsor and anyone involved in administering this Giveaway, and their immediate family or household members, are not eligible. Void outside British Columbia and where prohibited by law. 

2. Giveaway Period 
   Starts November 18, 2025, 12:01 am and ends December 1, 2025, 11:59 pm. (the “Giveaway Period”). Sponsor’s server is the official timekeeping device. 

3. How to Enter (no purchase necessary) 
   During the Giveaway Period, visit uwbc.ca/cfax and submit the entry form with your first and last name, email address, and BC mailing address. Limit one entry per person and per email address. Duplicate or automated entries are void. 
   Donations to Sponsor are optional. Donations do not constitute entries and do not improve odds of winning. 

4. Prize(s) 
   The prize consists of a two-night luxury getaway for two (2) at the Oak Bay Beach Hotel in Victoria, BC. 
   Prize includes: 

• Two (2) nights’ accommodation in an elegantly appointed guest room 

• Access to the Seaside Mineral Pools and Hot Tubs 

• A $100 dining gift card for FARO Restaurant, located on-site 

• Approximate retail value: $1,498 CAD 

Transportation to and from the Oak Bay Beach Hotel is not included. 
Blackout dates and other conditions may apply as determined by the Oak Bay Beach Hotel. 

5. Prize must be accepted as awarded. No cash or other substitution except if a prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond Sponsor’s control, in which case a prize of equal or greater value may be substituted. Any costs not expressly stated as included are the winner’s responsibility. 

6. Winner Selection and Odds 
   On or about December 2nd 2025 at 12:00 pm. Sponsor or its agent will conduct a random draw from all eligible entries received. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. 

7. Skill-Testing Question 
   Selected entrant must correctly answer, unaided and within 5 minutes, a mathematical skill-testing question to be declared a winner. 

8. Notification and Verification 
   Sponsor will attempt to contact the selected entrant at the email provided within [2–3] business days of the draw. The selected entrant must: 
   (a) respond within [3–5] business days, 
   (b) correctly answer the skill-testing question, and 
   (c) complete and return a Declaration of Eligibility and Liability/Publicity Release if requested within [5–7] business days. 
   If the selected entrant does not comply, cannot be contacted, or is found ineligible, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate entrant selected. 

9. Publicity 
   By accepting a prize, the winner consents to the use of their name (first name and last initial) and city for reasonable publicity by Sponsor in connection with the Giveaway, without further compensation, where lawful. 

10. General Conditions 
    Sponsor may disqualify any person who tampers with or abuses any aspect of the Giveaway, violates these Official Rules, or acts in a disruptive manner. If the Giveaway cannot be conducted as planned for any reason, including fraud, technical failures, or events beyond Sponsor’s control, Sponsor may cancel, modify, or suspend the Giveaway and, if feasible, award the prize by random draw from eligible, non-suspect entries received to the date of termination. 

11. Release and Limitation of Liability 
    By participating, entrants release Sponsor and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims or damages arising out of participation or prize acceptance and use, except where prohibited. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, garbled, or incomplete entries or emails, or for any technical failures of any kind. 

12. Privacy and Communications 
    Personal information is collected to administer the Giveaway, verify eligibility, and award prizes, and otherwise as described in United Way BC’s Privacy Policy at https://uwbc.ca/privacy-policy/ . By entering, you agree that Sponsor may contact you about the administration of the Giveaway. You may also choose to receive marketing emails by providing express consent on the entry form. You can withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in Sponsor’s emails. 

13. Taxes 
    If applicable, winners are responsible for any taxes or reporting obligations associated with receiving a prize. 

14. Governing Law 
    Subject to applicable laws, these Rules and the Giveaway are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.
