United Way Thompson Nicola Cariboo announced their grand total fundraised in their 2020 Campaign Season Friday night.
United Way TNC was joined by some of their top supporters in an open field under the sun to celebrate the campaign’s success.
The Drive-in style Campaign Celebration event, sponsored by Arrow Transportation, featured presentations highlighting the year’s work by United Way TNC’s Executive Director, Katie Neustaeter, Board Chair Hugh MacInnes, Director of Community Impact, Kristi Rintoul, and the organization’s 2021/2022 Cabinet Chair, Joshua Knaak.
United Way TNC announced a total of $1,187,901 raised in the 2020 campaign season, by way of individual and corporate donations, special events, and sponsorships.
When added to the emergency funding provided by the federal government, United Way TNC was responsible for collecting a grand total of $2,244,355 to make impactful change right here in our region.
United Way Thompson-Nicola Cariboo is honoured to distribute dollars to deserving charitable organizations in the community to help make the change they wish to see.
Katie Neustaeter, Executive Director, “Thanks to workplace campaigns, last year we were able to support over 50 charities and programs throughout the region, both financially and through shared impact resources and capacity building initiatives.
Now, through our volunteer Community Impact Council, we begin the good work of determining how each of the Community Fund dollars raised in 2020 will be allocated to the incredible frontline organizations who are serving vulnerable people through meaningful programming every day.”
